No ovulation likely.: Hi Sean, When women bleed more frequently and the bleeding is heavy with associated pain, this indicates a period without the start and stop signs of ovulation. When there is ovulation the bleeding is more predictable ie 21 - 34 days. the bleeding is not as heavy and stops within 7 days. Would recommend OCP's for cycle control or Depo-Provera or Mirena (levonorgestrel) to stop heavy bleeding altogether.
