3 months: Infants can grasp toys, such as a rattle, around 3 months of age. Some infants will do this a little sooner, and others a little later. If your child is not able to do this by 6 months of age, please bring it to the attention of your healthcare provider.

Baby grasp: At about 4 months old you baby will be able to hold small objects in their hand, when it is placed there. By 5-6 months, yoiur baby will start to reach out into the environment to take objects presented to then. As each month goes by, their grasp will be modified and facility for grasping and manipulating objects will improve.
