A member asked:

When is a good time to get screened for breast cancer? my grandmother has/had it and she had to get a double hysterectomy.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Get familiar/aware: Breast self awareness/self examination is advised to all females once they get 20 years old. Once every 3 years, a Clinical breast examination(done by a doctor) is advised. Once you get to 40 years of age, an annual Mammogram(X-ray of the breasts) is recommended. If you find any lump or change in your breast structure or shape, seek medical examination.
