Half life about 1 hr: The half-life of Amoxicillin (50% elimination from blood) is 61.3 minute, but about 60% of an orally administered single dose of Amoxicillin is excreted in the urine in 6 to 8 hours. Thus "5 half lives" is about 40 hrs. However, if u had a severe reaction because of amoxicillin, the reaction has already started & may take longer to resolve. Get tested & avoid amoxicillin if u r shown to b allergic

The half life: for someone with normal kidneys is 1 hr so in somewhere between 3-5 hrs the amount would be negligible.
