Pacifiers: are generally harmless in the first few months of life, and may even reduce SIDS risk, but it becomes more difficult to stop the habit if used for much longer. Excessive pacifier use is linked to speech delays and dental problems. It's also important to stop it as early as possible so that baby learns to self soothe and fall asleep without it.
