Amenorrhea: The technical term for no periods is amenorrhea. There are multiple causes for this, pregnancy being the most common in a woman of child bearing age. When you have this condition and are not pregnant, it warrants being checked by your physician to make sure that there is nothing going on with the reproductive organs or with the endocrine system.
