i am having occasional shooting pain down my shoulder to my hand on my right side. what could this be?

Pinched nerve: The most likely thing is a pinched nerve in your neck that causes the pain to radiate down the right arm. Rest, heat and tylenol (acetaminophen) may help. Otherwise it is always a good idea to see a doctor to be certain.
