Pain post tubal: Pain is common after a tubal ligation, but does not last long after the procedure, and is not related to an absence of periods. If the pregnancy test was not a serum HCG test in the ED, you should obtain one to be certain about pregnancy...especially in the tube or abdomen, which produce low levels of pregnancy hormone. Get an ultrasound of the abdomen, as ovarian cysts can cause this condition

Need an ultrasound: er visit good to make sure you are not pregnant. you need an ultrasound and an exam by your obgyn not an er doctor to evaluate for ovary cyst, torsion or pelvic inflammatory disease
