Yes: Try hydration and resting in a cool dark room with an ice pack. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is also safe during pregnancy. For a throbbing headache you can try a small amount of caffeine, but be careful not to overdo it. For anything more serious, prescription-strength medication may be necessary.

See your doc: If you have elevated blood pressures during this pregnancy and a headache that does not resolve with medications, you may be at risk for a serious condition called preeclampsia and you may need to see your doctor for further evaluation and assessment;.

Yes and see your doc: As noted already, tylenol (acetaminophen) is safe during pregnancy, and managing to avoid dehydration is also helpful. All of that said, make sure to mention the problem at your next OB visit. They should be aware of the condition. Tell them how often you do end up taking medication for a headache and if it's working. Frequent headaches are a problem. Your doctor might want you seen by a neurologist.

See doctor first.: Most headaches are not serious. However, headaches in pregnancy should get evaluated by your doctor because headaches could be the result of elevated blood pressure or other causes. Once the rare but important conditions have been assessed you doctor might allow you to use tylenol (acetaminophen). Your doctor will not allow Aspirin or Ibuprofen or other nsaids because they can hurt the baby.

Yes.: The best things to "take" are time, fluid and rest. Most headaches will go away without medication. Fatigue & dehydration cause many headaches. Other headaches are caused by things that can be easily identified and avoided (smoke, odors, etc). Tylenol (acetaminophen) is safe, but if your headache does not go away with the above measures it is better to see a doctor and find a cause rather than to mask it.
