Ovulation about dec 8. period on dec 24. today had a very big discharge of mauve colored stuff. now very light spotting. no sex since ovulation ?

Old blood: My guess is that it was some clot(s) of old blood from your previous period which is very common and normal and nothing to worry too much about at all. Sometimes spotting can occur mid-cycle without warning and this often is benign and more frequently occurs if you are on hormonal birth control as well. Even if not, don't be too concerned.
