Relax: Nothing that your dentist will place as a restoration will harm your baby, or you for that matter. Crowns can be made from a variety of substances, including, non-precious, semi-precious, and precious metals in addition to the porcelain. The metals do not dissolve in your mouth and therefore will not pass the placental barrier. Congrats on the pregnancy !
