See your dentist: Slight discomfort, sensitivity and tenderness are possible after a tooth has had dental treatment, but if any of these persist for more than a week or two, please call your dentist for evaluation. Some times the problem is in the adjacent tooth.

See your Dentist: There can be multiple causes for this unfortunate occurrence. The bite may be "high" = you hit this tooth sooner/harder than the rest and the ligament is bruised. This affects the nerve in the tooth. The nerve may be dying from the additive trauma over years- decay, fillings, the crown. The solution is often having the nerve removed = root canal treatment.
