Not normal: These symptoms don't sound normal. It's okay to have cramps with your period, but severe pain is concerning. If these symptoms are new, I'd be worried that you may have an ovarian cyst, a miscarriage, or even an ectopic pregnancy. Check a home pregnancy test just to be safe, and if it's positive, you should see a doctor ASAP. If it's negative, and your symptoms don't improve, make an appointment.

Irregular period: sounds like an irregular period. You must make sure you are not pregnant so do a pregnancy test. If you are not pregnant then you need an exam and evaluation by your obgyn and an ultrasound if needed
