Probably to prevent: I assume ur partner was diagnosed by a medical professional. In that case, as chlamydia is a reportable infection, the doctor advised your partner to inform his contacts to get tested & treatment. Zithromax is used for "prophylaxis", ie, prevention of infection from contact. (FYI it is not my favorite Abx among ur options). However, the ultimate decision is up to ur doctor & you. Get seen soon. GL

Consult orSTI Clinic: I recommend seeing a clinician for Rx and STI testing. Most county health departments provide free or low cost STI screening and treatment. Alternatively, you can participate in a Live HealthTap Consult for a prescription, but I am sure the physician will still recommend that you get STD testing.

Visit your PCP: Why don't check with your PCP provider if you think you were exposed to STD's? You will get the urinary drug test, treatment for yourself and your partner, if tested positive. I wouldn't recommend self- administration of the treatment. It might cause the side effects and drug resistance. You can get confidential testing online for $90, but Rx still need to get from physician. Best!
