Healing wound: This abscess cavity will heal by "secondary intention". This means that the wound will heal on its own without stitches. Healing time depends upon the size of the wound, your overall health, and weather the infection is resolved. If all pus is out, and you have no diabetes and are a non-smoker, it will likely heal in less than a month. If it is a large cavity it could take longer. Good luck!
