A member asked:

I take bcs consistently the same time everyday i've been having some light bleeding for the past 2 days my period isn't to arrive for a week and half?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breakthrough bleedin: This is breakthrough bleeding, when the lining of the uterus becomes unstable and breaks down, causing light bleeding. It should get better with subsequent cycles. It does not effect the birth control aspect of the pill, so don't stop them. If it happens frequently, you may need a different pill.
