Dermatologist: My advice is to have a dermatologist evaluate this lesion as he would be able to biopsy it if deemed advisable. A urologist would be another option although I have better results with my patients being seen by a dermatologist in similar situattons. Don't delay if you feel that a sexually transmitted disease is possible.

Microscopic exam: A glans lesion would not likely be fungal and therefore would not respond to ketoconazole. A scraping for staining and microscopic evaluation would most likely be in order.
