In middle of night i get woken up by a fast heart rate and tons of drainage going down my throat. it's scary and there is always drainage with it?

Not cause and effect: Actually it probably is the opposite: you may have something as simple as sinusitis and that is why the drainage. If there is an infection, you may have tachycardia as a consequence. See your PCP or ENT but do not emphasize on the tachycardia (fast heart rate)
