Difficult to say: You need to be examined and possiby have some testing. If this is not norma for you, it could be many things. Most are not worrisome, but see your doctor to be sure.

Probably from cycling off the birth control. It may improve, but many women find the convenince and predictability of the pills to be great.

Agreed not norm: A number of things can cause. Hormones out of balance, abnormalities of the uterus, and sometimes blood may be coming from another source. Because of all the possibilities, i would recommend an eval. By a clinician.

No: Its called intermenstrual bleeding. It is not normal and could be due to various causes. You should see your GYN for an evaluation, ultrasound and possible biopsy

May or May not be: Menstrual synchrony (the mcclintock effect) is a phenomenon 1st reported in 1971. It's existance has not been definitively established, and studies investigating it are controversial. Those who claim it is real state it is due to pheromones, hormone signals, between women. Others claim it is just a random occurrance. Some studies disprove it, others state it is possible. It's still a "mystery".
