Not pregnant: Yes. A negative pregnancy test 7 weeks after your last period sounds like something else caused the delayed period and you are not pregnant. The heavy bleeding is to be expected when your period is late. You either did not ovulate and the lining has just continued to grow and gotten so thick it is just falling off irregularly or ovulation was delayed and it did have a longer time to grow.
