Hypothyroid: Hi. as you probably are aware, thyroid hormone replacement treats but does not cure hypothyroidism (just like insulin treats but does not cure diabetes). If you stop taking thyroid hormone, you will have untreated hypothyroidism, which is seldom fatal, but can feel kind of crummy. Are you stopping just to see how you feel? Be willing to restart and keep your thyroid function normal. God luck!

Badly Hurt them: Symptoms would include weakness, cold intolerance, headaches, anxiety and depression, memory problems, constipation, among others. Just about every system in the body is affected, especially the brain! Thyroid hormone essentially "runs your body's metabolism" and without it, the body's essential functions come to a screeching halt.
