Cramp: This is a classic cramp. It happens for sevrral reasons. 1. Low potassium from a diuretic. 2. Low salt from diuretic or diet. 3. Fluctuating glucose. 4. Low calcium or magnesium (diet usually ). 5. Reduced blood flow (legs have less blood flow at night ). 6. A compression of muscle / blood flow by position or crossing legs. 7. An arterial stenosis. 8. Cold bed. 9. Dehydration.
