To rule out CVID, an adult immunodeficiency requiring IV IG treatment, you need to see an immunologist who will test your reaction to vaccines like the Pneumovax or Prevnar (pneumococcal vaccine) among other parameters. Please ask your usual physician for a referral to an immunologist after ruling out other causes.
