They can: it is a critical time for pregnancy but if the physical examination and the diagnostic test suggested a life threatening condition like ruptured or an Abscess then they have to intervene there is a lot of non operatives options like IV antibiotics and bowel rest and act scan guided abscess drainage and diversion so go and see your doctor or a surgeon for proper evaluation and treatment
