Allergy: More people are allergic to cats then dogs. This does not mean that it is necessarily the animals. It could be other allergens. Cheap man's test. Don't have him enter the room and bring your cat to him and see what he does. Then do the same for the dog. If neither causes the symptoms it's not the animals and keep looking. If he gets the response then u have to choose between your BF or Pet ;)
