Yes: If you have marijuana in your system, you must have consumed marijuana in some fashion. If you have not knowingly consumed the drug, contact an addictionologist and discuss this with him/her.

For what ?: This will show positive if the test is sensitive enough and you were around someone who smokes it or you consumed it in some form. It is unlikely to hurt you at trace levels but it does mean you may have legal/employment related problems.This is a question for a lawyer.
