To be honest, I've : never heard of guava bark used medicinally. Turns out it is also a component used as a vaginal douching. Not sure how "evidence-based" any of this is, but appears like there is a precedent of empiric use in the vagina. Now, with respect to "safety" it won't protect from STDs (no evidence of statistical significance) or pregnancy. So, for lube purposes you're fine as long as there's no allergic rxn
