Healthy and feeding?: In and of itself this bilirubin at this age is not a problem. But we must also know that the baby is feeding well and gaining weight and stooling properly. We always interpret the bilirubin number in the context of how the baby is doing. Other factors include preterm birth, bruising, hematoma, blood group, risk factors for infection, and others.
