Age related: Higher levels of myopia such as yours tend to progress through the late teens and middle 20s. The progression slows with time and eventually usually stops except in extreme myopia (not yours). There is no known way to stop this; simply increase the power of your glasses or contact lenses and in most cases good vision is experienced.

Time: there are medical treatments that MAY slow down the progression. It should slow down once you are out of your teen age years. If it is due to corneal changes (keratoconus) surgery may helpful. Close follow up by an ophthalmologist is recommended
