Answered yerterday: Get examined and avoid intercourse, manipulation, foreplay, thong underwear, tight clothing, tampons and OK to use a scant amount of antibiotic ointment on a Q-Tip ( a very thin layer) to the clitoral hood and labia.

Could be...: Could be a yeast infection especially if you are having white discharge associated. If you had sex recently it could be related to trauma after the fact. For now you may use sitz baths and Clotrimazole over the counter. If not better you will need to see your gynecologist.
