No need to worry: You should not be worried because twitching is not the cardinal symptom of ALS. It is caused by many things, and most of them are benign- nothing to worry about.

Comments: ALS is a rather uncommon condition and occurs in older individuals usually. Scattered muscular twitches are not usually fasciculations, and even if these are true fascics, they are more often simply benign. Statistically, your risk of ALS, in general, maximizes at 1.8 per 100,000 if you are Caucasian.
