Hi , my throat has been extremely sore for the past few days . my neck has also been hurting quite a bit . i haven't experienced any other symptoms .

Many reasons: There are quite a few possibilities. If associated with fever and congestion possibly viral infection or possible strep throat. Are there others at home with similar symptoms. Are you in a cold area and the heat is on? This would cause sore throat in the morning.If so, use a humidifier overnight. If there is a possibility of infection you will need to see your Dr. He can check for strep or mono.

Sore throat: Can be for a number of reasons. Infection: strep, viral, mono; allergies; irritants or dry mouth. Given it has been going on for a few days and you have neck pain sound like you should be seen.
