Not normal.: The eye is a very complex structure that also includes surrounding structures such as the lid and orbit. So based on you description it is impossible to say what is causing your perception of one eye getting smaller. I would need either a photog or an in person eamination It is prudent to see a physician or eye doctor with any abnormalities of the eye, since the worst case may result in blindness
