Amitriptyline: Amitriptyline (Elavil) treats depression but may treat nerve pain (peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia), eating disorder (bulimia), anxiety, panic disorder, or to prevent migraine headaches. Diazepam (Valium): treats, anxiety, acute alcohol withdrawal, seizures, muscle spasms relief, sedation before medical procedures; produces calming effect. May interact together. Consult prescriber.
