A member asked:

Hi. i'm a 27 year old female and am concerned because i'm lactating and have taken a few pregnancy tests that were all negative. should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Check prolactin: Leaking milk is called galactorrhea and can be caused by an excess production of the hormone prolactin in the pituitary. A blood test will show if an elevated prolactin level is the cause of galactorrhea. Behind the excess of prolactin can be a benign tumor of the pituitary gland.
