Check prolactin: Leaking milk is called galactorrhea and can be caused by an excess production of the hormone prolactin in the pituitary. A blood test will show if an elevated prolactin level is the cause of galactorrhea. Behind the excess of prolactin can be a benign tumor of the pituitary gland.
