Yes: on screening tests (dipstick tests and other "first use" tests) but NOT on confirmatory tests. Any positive on a screening test should lead to a more sophisticated confirmatory test (usually gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy) which will tell the difference between pseudoephedrine and amphetamine.
