No. Medications : prescribed for pinworms are Albendazole & Mebendazole, given as a single dose that is repeated 2 weeks later. The CDC recommends that physicians treat all family members. Prevention of re-infection is arduous. Pinworm eggs can be found under the infected person's fingernails, on clothes, bedding, upholstered furniture & other surfaces.
