A member asked:

Why does my 4-month-old baby spit up after every feeding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

GER: Gastroesophageal reflux is common in infants until their esophageal sphincter develops, and are prone to increased symptoms after feeds, while laying flat, with pressure on the abdomen and with rapid position changes. Common symptoms include spitting up, nasal congestion, fussiness, gagging/coughing and more. GER usually diminishes around 6 months.
