Sedation: They both have sedation as a side effect. Taking both at once increases the sedation.

Sedation: Ketamine can induce strong hallucinations and dissociation -- and some have tried using haloperidol (an antipsychotic) in a preventive way. However, the combination is quite sedating and can be dangerous in unskilled hands.
