throat mucus : Constant throat mucus is most likely due to post nasal drip from allergies. May also occur due to laryngopharyngeal reflux.

Mucous in The throat: Everyone has mucous in the throat. The problem is when it appears to be in over abundance. What you can do is try a nasal steroid over the counter or an anti allergy pill like Claritin or Allegra. Zyrtec can be overly sedating and you should avoid the decongestants like sudafed as it raises the blood pressure. If that doesn't work see an ENT doctor that does allergy and they will check you.
