A member asked:

Tiagabine or gabitril: can you get high like feeling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sort of: Gabitril or tiagabine is used as an adjunctive (add on) medication in the treatment of partial seizures. It has also been used "off label" for anxiety and pain symptoms, but the fda warns that for patients who do not have seizures, the use of this medication may actually cause a slight increase in the risk of having a seizure. It can make some people feel altered, but should not cause a "high".
