Many possibilities: Bleeding after sex is sometimes due to STDs that infect the cervix, especially chlamydia or gonorrhea. But there are plenty of other causes as well. Obviously the chance of STD depends on other things, i.e. your and her sexual lifestyle, other partners, etc. Your girlfriend definitely should should see her doctor about this. You might consider STD testing as well, if any doubt about risk.
