Post C-section bldg: Hemorrhage after a C-section is possible when the uterus does not contract well post delivery. This can be caused by failure of expulsion of parts of the placenta, or a poor response to meds to aid such contraction. Sometimes the placenta invades the uterine wall, esp. in pregnancies in one's late 30's and early 40's, (placenta accreta) and this makes contractions ineffective. Ask your OB.
