Why can't we treat diabetes by transplanting a new pancreas from a dog to the diabetic person?

Dog: I would be very surprised if a surgeon agreed to that but there is no harm in inquiring from a gastric surgeon. There are a number of articles listed under " Pancreas transplant from dog to man". Most of them go back many decades without much new information.
