Protein does not-: -give you increased energy, but is needed 2 build muscle by lifting & working out. This will give you more energy, & a better self esteem. You need 50gms/day for maintenance. With heavy lifting a supplement can be used. A bump of 30-45 gms will help build muscle mass. This can also be obtained by diet also, then there is no need to supplement.
