Both terms: mean the SHAPE of the conducting vessels...capillaries are a certain SIZE of "sinusoid shaped" vessels! Hope this is helpful! DR Z

They are two terms: for essentially the same thing.

Inane: It is a distinction without a difference. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Same thing: I've been doing pathology for forty years and I've been using these terms interchangeably for most organs. Liver sinusoids aren't really tubes, but more like the space between two separated panes of glass, and they're of course bigger than capillaries, and wider. If your teacher says I'm wrong, that's his/her business.
