A member asked:

Where does inflammation take place in someone with tb?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tuberculosis: TB can be a nasty disease. In fact, it often 'hides out' in the body, not doing anything for YEARS!! We call this 'latent infection' - and you can tell if you have it by getting a ppd test or other lab screening test. When TB becomes active, usually a cough with thick sputum is the result. This is when TB is in the lungs. It can occur elsewhere in the body too, like lymph nodes etc. See doc if Qs
