Yes: Contacts should be immediately removed in the event of pain, redness, blurred vision or discharge. If any other symptoms develop or you do not feel better, see your eye doctor.

Yes: Leaving your contacts in too long is very dangerous. It can result in infections that can cause permanent loss of vision and the first sign is eye pain. If you are a contact lenses wearer and your eyes hurt, the first thing to do is remove your contacts. And, as a side note, never sleep in your contacts.
