A member asked:

What is the typical dosage of hydrocodone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

5-15 mg: 20 years ago most tablets contained Hydrocodone 5 mg together with 325 mg of acetaminophen. This drug is about 1/3 less potent than oxycodone, the usual dose of which is 5 mg, so companies started coming out with extra-strength versions of 7.5 mg, which would be equivalent. Currently, there are versions with 7.5 and up to 15 mg for immediate use, and up to 60 mg in a time-released once/day pill.
