What is the difference between an e-cig and a shisha pen?

Mainly cosmetic: most e-cigarettes have been made to look like a cigarette, whereas "shisha pens," hookahs and other devices are often larger and don't look anything like a cigarette. However, how they work (volatalizing either a liquid form of drug like nicotine or even volatiilzing the nicotine out of tobacco or the THC/CBD out of marijuana) is the same technology in either an e-cig or another device.
